What Happend on the Night

The best of the North West fashion circuit pulled up to the red carpet at Manchester’s Triangle last week to attend the Young Designer of the Year awards 2008. The guests included Vicky Martin and Michelle Keegan of Coronation Street fame, who were both on the judging panel alongside the head of design for Bench and Unique boutique owner Maria Mc Greevey.

The event presented an impressive line up of young design talent, ranging from what I call ‘sky captains and the world of tomorrow’ inspired collections to New York skylines. The show went down without a hitch, although back stage as myself and fellow judges deliberated, it did get heated.  All in all the Triangle has proved its fashion credentials once again, and brought new talent to fore front.
