Watch out Gok, there’s a new fashion Guru in town! This summer, aside from the promise of sunshine, Manchester welcomes the arrival of celebrity stylist Hareth Tayem, whose signature style is being tipped to make waves on the UK fashion scene. Originally from Sydney, Hareth relocated to the UK were he divides his busy schedule between London and Manchester.

Working at Manchester based SJ Styling Hareth is stylist to the stars including Coronation Street actors (as well as being Meg Matthews’s personal stylist); Hareth is also a fashion blogger and trend forecaster. His experience in these fields is sure to be put to good use as he is set to launch his new project, a men’s fashion community in the UK. For so many of us aspiring fashionista’s, it’s difficult not to envy Hareth's success.

When so many fashion graduates are struggling to catch a break in the current economic downturn, why is it that Hareth has so many fingers in the proverbial pie? Well, after being scouted at the tender age of 19 working at Giorgio Armani in Vancouver, he began modeling and soon moved into television presenting, most recently presenting for MTV Australia.

Since then he has gone on to merge his experience in the entertainment industry with fashion by styling celebrities and events in and around Australia and LA. As someone who finds it a challenge juggling two part time jobs, it came as a surprise to me that Hareth found time to create his own clothing label: ‘Celebrity Uniform’. The line of clothing which includes tattooed jeans and t-shirts was launched in LA last year, attracting interest from high profile celebrities like the Pussy Cat Dolls and Tommy Lee.

With such a prolific CV it would be easy to assume Hareth’s looks served him well, yet unlike the Peaches Geldoff’s of the world, his recognized credibility within the world of fashion and entertainment has been earned as he is constantly striving for success in new and existing career ventures. No doubt we will be seeing much more of Hareth.
