H&M Confirm Collaboration with Sonia Rykiel

H&M has confirmed that Sonia Rykiel will be on board as a guest designer for the Winter 2009 and Spring 2010 seasons. The cult fashion house is known for experimenting with knitwear, vibrant use of colour and its distinctive Parisian styling; Rykiel herself is know as the “Queen of Knits”.

 

This collaboration marks the first time that H&M extends its designer range, to lingerie and related accessories for women, with exclusive pieces being launched world-wide, in 1,500 stores on 5th December. The Spring 2010 collection promises even more early morning queuing with its range being extended to an iconic knitwear collection for women and girls (18 months to 8 years old) accompanied by a typically modern and playful accessories. The second collection will be more exclusive and only released in 250 H&M stores world-wide, scheduled to be released late February 2010.

 

This comes just months after the exciting news that footwear aficionado, Jimmy Choo confirmed their collaboration with H&M, due to launch this autumn. Other past collaborations with the high street giants include; Victor & Rolf, Karl Largerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garcons and most recently, Matthew Williamson.
