Manchester Fashion Network have teamed up with The General Store to bring up and coming Manchester based designers an exciting opportunity to feature their collection instore for 3 months.

‘Brands of Manchester’ is an initiative set up to provide a platform for brands to feature within a city centre retailer and give them a nudge up the retail ladder.

The chosen designer will be showcased for 3 months at The General Store alongside popular brands such as Ringspun, Elvis Jesus and Religion. The prize will also include an exclusive party to celebrate the launch of the designers collection being featured in the store.

We are looking for young, individual designers with a unique style to enter this competition.

This will be an ongoing competition as the collections will be changed every three months, so you can apply at any time throughout the year.

Pretty Disturbia won the first 'Brands of Manchester' prize, but their 3 months in The General Store is coming to an end.  If you think you fit the bill, download and fill in the attached application form, along with images, and email it to clare@manchesterfashion.com. The winner will then be selected by a panel of experts.

The closing date to enter to be in with a chance of winning the next 3 months in The General Store, is the 18th of June. Any applications after this date will still be held and be up for consideration for the next round.

You must be available for a short meeting with the judges, along with your collection, price points, points of sale, promotion and links to website. 

The winner will be instore on the 8th of July following a launch party.
