Give It Some Welly!

As the summer quickly approaches it’s time to start thinking and preparing for the festival season. Whether you’re hitting muddy Glastonbury or enjoying a chilled cider at the Isle of Wight festival-there is a perfect pair of Wellington boots out there with your name on them!

From Hunters to Barbour there is a huge amount of choice when it comes to this practical yet wearable footwear. The Duke of Wellington had his priorities sorted when he came up with the concept for the boot.

Hunter is the leaders in their field when it comes to designing Wellingtons and they know exactly how to create a comfortable and stylish pair. Hunters are available in a range of vibrant colours; however my own personal favourite is the original red Wellington boots. The stunning shade of rich cherry red is divine and would look perfect worn with a pair of distressed denim shorts and a tribal printed smock top.

However, if you would prefer a 70’s approach to your Wellington boots then why not try a pair of daisy festival Wellington boots from www.wellieboots.com. These floral wellies are perfect for Glastonbury and the giant daisy detail makes this pair a statement piece perfect for the summer sunshine. Try combining them with a denim dress and a pair of sexy ray bans to create the perfect boho look.

However if you would prefer to splash out in style then why not try a pair of heeled rubber Marc Jacobs boots in an off white. The quilted detail gives them a unique twist, although these look great with a pair of slim fit jeans they shouldn’t be worn anywhere near mud. At the expensive price of £170 I would strongly recommend you stay well away from Leeds Festival if you want them to remain pearly white!

Other designers are also getting in on the musical scene, for example Burberry have also created a pair of Wellington boots in a classic violet colour, they are an ideal accompaniment to any festival outfit.

So get your thinking caps on because whether you are hitting a hardcore music festival or relaxing at a major cultural event such as Latitude or the Secret Garden Party in Cambridge- there is definitely a pair of fancy Wellington boots out there just waiting for you to pop on and party in! So what are you waiting for?
