Manchester Gets A Whiff Of Tom
Finland Whafts Into Manchester
By Amy W
Manchester Fashion celebrated the launch of the Tom Of Finland fragrance last night at Harvey Nichols. Tom Of Finland was an artist famous for his homoerotic art and his influence on late twentieth century gay culture. Today the Tom of Finland Foundation has teamed up with Etat Libre D’Orange (leaders in creating exclusive perfumes) to bring us this sexy, masculine fragrance exclusive to Harvey Nichols.
This unique, masculine fragrance is sensual and features a hint of suede, metal and musk – as not to disturb the odor of men which top perfumer Antoine Lie set out to do.
In the words of Etienne de Swardt the scent ‘lasts all night long’, so guys grab a bottle of this sensual fragrance at Harvey Nichols, and you never know who will be smelling it the next morning!
The fragrance captures the sexuality portrayed in the Tom Of Finland artwork and each bottle contains one of his images, so if you are over the age of 21 we suggest you buy the XXX version.
Expecting the unexpected due to the nature of the Tom Of Finland art, the event, which took place on the men’s floor, had a vibrant atmosphere and a dash of naughtiness in the form of peepholes, which exposed the XXX rated artwork by the artist himself. His work can be seen at www.tomoffinlandfoundation.org - WARNING OVER 18’s ONLY!
Guests also enjoyed the fashion show in which rather hot, half -naked models, strutted their stuff in the latest underwear down the catwalk, to the joy of most men in the crowd. It was safe to say the guests were more than entertained especially when the cheeky Matt Peacock revealed his shiny behind.
Another eventful if not rather painful part of the entertainment, was watching a live ‘Boyzilian’, the new ‘Brazilian’ for men. Onlookers watched as the 'brave' model had his carpet waxed away to reveal a soft, hair-free masterpiece.
As the event came to a close guests were ushered to the after party held at Velvet on Canal Street.
