Stitch Menswear Relocation
Stitch, the menswear trade show, has after four successful seasons relocated to a new home in the stylish centre of Islington. February 12th and 13th will see the trade show come to London attracting new brands, buyers and press from all over the world as it is set to be the biggest and best show so far.

The Business Design Centre in Islington replaces two previous venues in Old Billingsgate and in Earls Court as event organisers were determined to improve the show by reacting to customers’ feedback. Founder and Managing Director of the trade show, Brian Duffy explains, ‘This is something that I think our brands and buyers want and it’s something we are going to give them’. With this in mind as a direct response to the demands of buyers and exhibitors, Stitch has opted to increase its opening hours over a two day period instead of shorter hours over a three day period. In this way, they are able to reduce the exhibit costs for brands whilst maintaining buyer footfall.

The new setting means both UK and international buyers and exhibitors will experience a trade show that caters for their specific needs while the location will offer them a cultural hub with a wide range of restaurants, hotels and bars. Kevin Stone, from The Vast Agency, who is heading up the new creative campaign, understands the importance of Stitch’s new location: ‘I think the selling point of Stitch is London. London is the capital of this country; it’s the capital of European fashion.’

This season sees development with the valuable addition of fashion expert, Fats Shariff. He is set to curate Vision, the contemporary area of the trade show that was created so that niche, contemporary and urban brands have an opportunity to showcase, promote and sell their collections. Shariff is no amateur when it comes to the fashion industry. Twenty years of experience in diverse roles for companies such as Dior, WeSC, Nike and Puma, means he appreciates the unique opportunity Vision offers up and coming brands, ‘What I think we can do together at Stitch and the Vision section is to really offer people other options of buying’.
Stitch is set to be the unmissable tradeshow of the season for all key buyers and press. As Kevin Stone from The Vast Agency puts it: ‘Fundamentally what stitch does, it delivers great brands to buyers, it gives the brands the opportunity to express themselves and write business.’
