La Mode Events is a Manchester based company providing a service to anyone looking to hold an exclusive fashion event; this can be anything from a fashion show to a charity fundraiser or trade show. The company offers to assist with the planning, design, promotion and managing of any given event. Most recently, they have been approached to assist with Manchester Fashion Week in 2012.
As a new company looking to drive awareness, build their brand, achieve investment and generate sales, social media is a powerful tool to be harnessed.

Both the Facebook page and Twitter page are updated around once every couple of days. The posts vary from those covering local events in Manchester and posting links about attractions like the Spinningfields Pin Up Bowling Alley to those covering national fashion news and celebrity observations.
Both sites show a commitment to Manchester as well as awareness of fashion news generally; this form of interaction emphasises the company’s credibility to produce effective fashion events. As the company are relatively new to the market, this could account for both the slower social media activity and fewer followers when compared to other competitors. As La Mode continues to grow and develop, hopefully so will their social media campaign.
