Missguided's staff kick off their stilettos for KidsCan charity on 20th May 2012

This spring, the staff from award-winning online fashion destination and member of The Fashion Network Missguided.co.uk are getting in training for the 2012 Great Manchester Run. Swapping killer heels and catwalks for trainers and treadmills, the team are supporting local children’s cancer charity KidsCan.

Seventeen members of staff from the Manchester based company will be running for KidsCan in the 10k race on the 20th May 2012 and intend to raise well over £3,000 for the charity.

Also based in Manchester, KidsCan Children’s Cancer Research Centre’s aims are simple:

• To cure more children with cancer
• To improve the treatment of children with cancer
• To develop new treatments for childhood cancer
• To be a source of information about childhood cancer

While KidsCan is unique in being the only research facility which deals specifically with treatments for childhood cancers, they receive no statutory funding for their work.

Missguided, who celebrated its third birthday in March, is a young and dynamic company who pride themselves as being leaders in online retailing. Their passion for fast fashion can only be rivaled by their fundraising powers and within hours of launching their fundraising page, the staff had drummed up over £700 of sponsorship for KidsCan!
