Adidas moving to the Arndale 

Adidas will be relocating from their Market Street store to a bigger unit in the Arndale Centre.Adidas say that their current pitch is no longer suitable as they increase their range and continue to gain popularity.A spokesperson for Adidas said: “We are looking to move to the Arndale. We are looking at various options. We are also looking at the possibility of joining the Adidas Original store with the Adidas store.”The move will leave a gaping hole in Market Street. It has not yet been announced which retailer will fill Adidas’ 6,600 sq ft shoes.   

Acresfield Building draws big names to St Ann’s Square 

Henri Lloyd will be joining Camper and Fat Face in the Acresfield Building development in St Ann’s Square.The refurbished building, which used to be home to Easy Internet Café and The Disney Store, is due to be finished by the end of September.Richard Lyons, partner at chartered surveyors Tushingham Moore, who are agents on the scheme, said: “It goes to prove that if you can create the right space in the right location there will be demand for it.”  

Selfridges Expansion

Selfridges in the Trafford Centre are opening a 3,800 sq ft footwear department, to celebrate their 10 year anniversary at the iconic shopping centre. The new floor space will sell high end brands such as Jimmy Choo, Fendi, Christian Louboutin and Chloe.
