Pandora store opens in The Arndale, Manchester
Denmark calling, Pandora has arrived in Manchester Arndale Centre and I was one of the first to pop in and check it out.
The new store is situated on the ground floor just off Exchange Court within Manchester’s Arndale Centre. After having to barge past the swarms of people ogling the new jewels I asked a group of very attractive staff members for the Manager, Linda. A flustered but excited Linda told me a little bit about the store and what jewel loving shoppers could expect from the new Pandora. Linda explained that the store was a “flagship store and a concept store” which means it will stock both the “volume lines, such as the charm bracelets”, and more niche lines like the love-pods.
Linda went on to talk about the brand’s philosophy of creating jewellery that reflects life’s “unforgettable moments”. After our chat it became clear to me that the new Pandora in Manchester Arndale will be at the forefront of the Pandora brand and will be the first stop for any new lines released. It also became clear that the new store was already a success, all the staff members were busy with customers and the shop was buzzing. I took to browsing the range available and was suitably impressed by what was on offer.
Linda had said that the brand was “contemporary” and focused on “mixing and matching jewellery” to suit moods and personality. This ethos is broth prevalent with the charm bracelets; which are essentially constructed by the consumer, and in other ranges. The love-pod rings are stackable which calls for more interactivity in jewellery accessorising by enabling the wearer to stack rings high, low or not at all. The ranges were all contemporary in their design but elegant and tasteful.
I had browsed the jewels, photographed the shop and grabbed a catalogue and the time had come to leave, the shop had got too busy for me!
