permanent paid positions**
On Wednesday 3rd March MFN will be holding a recruitment event, recruiting freelancers, graduates and students, to work within and alongside the MFN team.
We are searching for individuals who are innovative, love fashion and have a good attitude. The recruitment evening will be a relaxed and informal event were we invite you over to chat with us about the possibilities of working within the company.
To avoid any confusion with the event and to make sure everyone is suitably prepared, please read the below.

Freelancers
MFN are on the look out for experienced professionals in all positions to work on a freelance basis on bespoke projects as and when required.
On the day of the recruitment event you will need to bring along examples of your work and your CV.
Work Experience
MFN understands the importance of gaining valuable experience within the fashion industry; therefore we are looking for individuals with drive, passion and personality. All work experience is unpaid but successful candidates develop a solid understanding of how the fashion business works, gaining references along the way.
- Writers and Bloggers
As an online publication that serves over 10,000 subscribers, we value the content that we produce and deliver each week. We are looking for keen individuals who have a strong knowledge of the fashion industry, to write features and be guest bloggers within the site.
We are looking for fresh personalities who have a keen eye for a story, attention to details, good academic skills and can work to deadlines.
The position will be unpaid but gives you the opportunity to have your written work published. You will be asked to write about a number of things including fashion news, reviews, events and write up fashion reports.

- Pr/Marketing
We are looking for forward thinking people with creative sparks to work within the Marketing and Pr department. You will need to be organised, have good writing skills and be a confident communicator.

- Events
Events….often perceived as the more glamorous side of the fashion industry, are hard work, but very rewarding. MFN manage a range of events from bespoke talks with high end publications such as Vogue, GQ, Glamour and FHM, to fashion shows, launch parties and pop up shops.
For this role you will need to have good time management, be organised, active and sociable.

- Trend Spotting
As an MFN trend spotter you will need to have a strong eye for fashion. Your role will see you hitting the streets of Manchester and looking out for style. You will attend fashion events, so it is key that you are responsible whilst working under the MFN brand.
This is a role that requires 100% commitment. You will need to produce at least 15+ decent shots per week and have your own camera.

- Graphic Designers
This role requires a creative person with a good eye for fashion. You will have a lot of create freedom within this position, so we are looking for people who are self motivated and driven.

- Fashion Researchers
Research doesn’t always sound the most exciting of jobs but within this role you will learn how the industry ticks, piecing together how everyone is connected and how vast the industry really is. I need 2 or 3 people with excellent initiative and commonsense.
Working within our busy office environment you’ll need to be hardworking and not easily distracted! Enthusiasm, good knowledge of excel and excellent telephone / communications skills are also required.
The role is unpaid but experience is invaluable. You will be required to work on a freelance flexible basis at least 2 days a week.
NB: Due to the ‘hot-desk’ nature of our office, candidates with their own laptops will be preferable.
