Rafael Gilston - Co-Founder - Geek
Rafael has over 15 years experience in strategic brand development at some of London’s leading brand consultancies and design agencies including Imagination, Virgile & Stone, Yellowdoor, Construct London, Henrion and New Solutions. He has led global brand strategy for luxury brands like Mulberry and created new products for Unilever, Ford USA, Vodafone and Nestlé.
As a brand consultant he redefined the core offer for several fashion brands including Kookai, Pied a Terre and Bertie.
Rafael advises CEO’s and Boards on brand strategy and product development.
Amanda Burrows - Co-Founder - Geek
Amanda has more than 20 years experience in retail and specialises in brand management and product development. As Managing Director of the Shoe Studio Group she ran a portfolio of seven brands including Bertie and Pied a Terre - rebuilding the business for eventual sale.
At Whistles, she was Brand Director and returned the label to being one of the UK’s most highly regarded independent fashion brands.
Whilst at House of Fraser, she was Head of Buying and was responsible for the developing and launching its own labels including Linea and Therapy.
Amanda advises Buying, Merchandising and Design teams on product management and development as well as retail strategy.
