This month we look at look at the ins and outs of bringing a successful denim product to market. Our expert panel will discuss how you take an idea from the concept stage, through to development, then onto manufacturing right through to retail.

 

Special Guest Panel:

• Alberto Candiani - Global Manager - TRC Candiani. Alberto is the 4th generation to represent family owned Tessitura di Robecchetto Candiani, which was founded in 1938. Since his beginning with the company in 2004, he is considered an expert in denim within the textile and fashion industries. He is responsible for fabric design, product development, innovation and worldwide sales.
  
  Tessitura di Robecchetto Candiani, better known as Candiani, is the world’s leader in the production of Denim fabrics. With over 60 years of experience in the textile field, Candiani produces for the most prestigious names in the world, making its own product one of the most appreciated fabrics in the fashion industry.

• Babar Ahmed - CEO - Duty Free Clothing. Based In Manchester, Babar started Duty Free Clothing 5 years ago and now has 3 factories, its own washing and dying plant, offices and QC in China. Duty Free provides clothing for River Island, Henley's and Bay Trading to name a few. This year Babar launched streetwear brand Damaged Jeans to great industry applause.
