Profile Biography

Nestled in the heart of Manchester’s creative corner, Suzanne Devine, of studio nine in the Craft and Design centre, busily creates a range of unique bags, purses, brooches and cuffs.

Using and experimenting with a variety of soft and lambs leathers, she expertly enhances the texture to create and design bags and accessories for any occasion. Not a fan of following trends, she claims they ‘change too rapidly’ Suzanne does admit to being slightly influenced by the runway, in particular the coveted colours for each season, which she then transfers into her own collections through her unique style. Devine, who graduated in 2003, has been with Manchester Craft centre since 2004.

 

She aims to appeal to a varied audience, with many she claims purchasing her creations as gifts. However Devine is also open to any requests or specifications, and will work with you to create your order. With her intimate in studio workspace, it is definitely recommended a visit, if not to purchase, but to view her in action.
